Our Trip to Washington for David's Blessing

We went to Washington for a week so we could be there for David's blessing, but everyday was filled with fun. So I will try to recap.

Two of my favorite things to do, walk my grandson and talk to my daughter.

We took a drive to the seaside and marveled at everything David did!
So cute!
On Saturday, the base was having an airshow.  We got there SUPER early and got a personalized tour of the C-17.  This particular one was brand new from Long Beach.

One of it's main purposes is to bring service men and women who have been hurt to an area where they can get the attention needed. This medic was demonstrating and educating us on how they load them, take care of them and transport them.
Here's Daniel's grandpa in the pilot seat!
 More from the airshow...

( It was so hard to get a picture of the Thunderbirds.)

David took everything in stride and we all had a fantastic, beautiful day!!
Sunday was the blessing day.
Daniel gave a wonderful blessing and we are SO thankful that Rich and I could be there for it.

This was the blessing outfit that Daniel actually wore when he was blessed.  I think in one more week it probably wouldn't have fit David though!
These pictures were taken just right outside their kitchen door!  Can you believe that!!

Daniel and Julie with Terry and Lisa Tucker (and David of course!).
Rich and I with them.
Four generation picture with Ed, Terry, Daniel and David.
Ryan, Tracy and Lavar Campbell with them.
They were so sweet to drive out from Salt Lake for the blessing.  They LOVE Julie and Daniel!
All us women with the star of the day!
Here's David no doubt telling Daniel thank you for such a wonderful blessing,

and here's Daniel saying, "you're welcome my sweet son."
.
On Monday, we toured an airplane museum that was way cool!
Here's a picture of The Concorde.  We actually got to go inside it too.

Here's a picture of a retired AirForce I.

And here's a picture of Julie and David sitting in his first fighter jet!

Grandpa Tucker likes it too!
On our last day, we drove to Bremerton where we toured another museum only this one was on aircraft carriers and submarines.  Then we took the ferry over to Seattle before dad and I had to say goodbye.

We said good bye to all.
Daniel was leaving early in the morning for his first deployment assignment.  We wish him well and will pray for him every day.  We know he will do well with his flying.  The Airforce is lucky to have him!
Here are a few last pictures of our cute little David.
We think he grew during the week we were there!
Don't you??

OH!!!  And I almost forgot!!  He found his thumb!!!
Thanks Juile and Daniel for having us and letting us share in such an important time in all of your lives!
We LOVE YOU!!!
