Our Visit with Kathy and Jeff

We had a very fun time in Utah...so fun in fact that Dad didn't want to come home until he was sick and couldn't ski anymore!
He traded off skiing and doing genealogy work at the Family History Library.
He found out that he has a family member...a descendant of the wife of a great uncle, who lives in Provo, is a member of the church and has been doing some family history work too. She has a sister in San Diego and was so excited to hear from dad.
In doing my genealogy, I discovered the first family member outside of the United States...and it's official! From Ireland!!
Now I know why I've been drawn to Irish music!!
YAY!!
Enjoy the following pictures of Kathy, Jeff and Katie going skiing.

Hudson's Baptism Day

Last Saturday, I had the happy opportunity to see my great nephew baptized!
What a special day that was!

Here he is with a good friend close by to share this memorable event. I loved that his friend sat by him during the baptism.

Denise and I were able to pose for a quick picture in the parking lot after...on our way to Stephanie's cute house...which I'm sorry I didn't get pictures of.
.
In Primary, on Sunday, I taught my Valiant 9 class about Jesus Christ being baptized and asked each child to think of their baptism and remember one thing to share. One remembered being baptized along with her mother and it reminded me of when I was baptized, at age 21 and that my mother was baptized with me. I had such a great feeling of love and warmth that consumed me. I honestly felt completely cleansed. Reborn.
I'm so grateful for my Savior and the opportunity I have to renew this covenant.
I'd love for anyone reading this to comment about one thing they remember from their baptism day...
